Romeo and Juliet / Mercutio and His Brother Valentine
In April 2013, Impromptu broke new ground by presenting Shakespeare's
classic romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet in repertory with the world
premiere of local playwright Clayton Garrett's Mercutio and His Brother Valentine. The shows were directed by Matthew Davis and presented at
the Rotunda Theatre by a single cast, delighting critics and audiences
alike! [media 1/2] [review 1/2]

Arts Showcase 2012
Our second annual fundraiser, packed full of the arts from all over Kingston. Groups from the Kingston community like Kings Town Players and the Kingston Chamber Choir performed, as did Queen's groups like the Swing Club and the Caledonias. Next year will be bigger and better than ever - make sure you don't miss out!

The Merry Wives of Windsor

Our second summer Shakespeare, directed by Matthew Davis and performed to great acclaim! Set in the Regency period, an array of actors young and old took to City Park to tell the tale of the lecherous Falstaff, the jealous Ford and the cunning Windsor wives. [media] [review]

An evening packed full of theatre, music, dance, opera and poetry! Held downtown at the Time to Laugh Comedy Club, this evening variety show showcased some of the best talent in Kingston, to help raise money for our Spring show Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Performers included Queen's Student Opera Company, Queen's Musical Theatre and many more!

Much Ado About Nothing
Shakespeare's timeless classic set in the Colonial era and in the lush surroundings of Kingston's City Park. Impromptu's primary mission is to bring Shakespeare in the Park back to Kingston, and we did that very successfully with this well-received first production! [media] [review
